A new video laryngoscope from Zeiss, which Nomen advised on when it came to finding a name. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Zeiss NURA offered some protection by allowing a larger distance between the device operator and the patient during a vital intubation. Intubation is a necessary treatment step for severe COVID-19 cases, which poses a high risk of infection to doctors and medical staff. The manufacturer donated the first batch of video laryngoscopes to severely affected hospitals.
