The laser and machine tool manufacturer TRUMPF is taking digital networking into its own hands as part of Industry 4.0 and is becoming an operating system provider for the first time. For this, TRUMPF founded a new business based in Karlsruhe, AXOOM GmbH. The offered operating system with pre-installed apps is an open, manufacturer-independent platform for the manufacturing world. It enables secure data transport as well as data storage and analysis. At the same time, it offers solution models for end-to-end order processing in a production facility. The company name AXOOM was developed by NOMEN Germany.
