Stories behind the names

Amundi is the biggest asset manager in Europe. The company was founded as a joint enterprise by Crédit Agricole and Société Générale in 2010, in order to re-organise the investment business of both banks. The name references asset management with the initial letters AM. Furthermore, it draws a link to the global focus on investment managers, because in Latin “mundus, mundi” means the world in which we live.
